Baton Rouge Bike/Walk/Bus Tour - Sunday May 28
Join us for a tour of Baton Rouge to learn about the benefits and challenges of getting around by bicycle, by bus, or on foot. Together, we'll take a five mile bus ride from the CATS station on Florida to Pennington Biomedical Research Centre on Perkins, a one mile walk to Capitol Cyclery on Essen, and then a nine mile bike ride back to the CATS station.
Our aim with this tour is to allow elected officials, planners, and city and state employees to experience, first hand, some of the smart transportation options that exist in Baton Rouge, and to learn how encouraging use of these options can reduce environmental impacts, improve both physical and mental health, and, most visibly, reduce traffic.
Bike Baton Rouge will have experts in biking, transit, and walking available to provide information, share their expertise, and answer any questions about transportation in Baton Rouge.
